"Polyurethanes 2002" will integrate oral contributions from industry, government, and academia (along with a poster session). Fundamental aspects of polyurethanes and polyureas including synthesis, characterization, processing and performance (together with durability/stability) in areas such as films, textile fibers, elastomers, foams, biomaterials, specialty coatings, adhesives, etc. will be featured. Thus, presentations focusing on catalysis, new diisocyanates, polyols, and chain extenders, latex or waterborne systems, surface-active agents, and surface phenomena are encouraged.

Annapolis, Maryland's Capital and home to the U.S. Naval Academy, is still quite reminiscent of the booming 18th century seaport. You can still see remnants of colonial life as you stroll the cozy streets and admire the architecture that has stood for more than 200 years. Known as the sailing capital of America, you are never far from water or boats in Annapolis not to mention some of the best seafood on the East Coast! Hotel reservations should be made directly with the Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West Street, Annapolis, MD 21401, 410-263-7777; FAX: 410-263-0084; WWW: http://www.loewsannapolis.com/.
