Invitation & General Information

The Division of Polymer Chemistry of the American Chemical Society is sponsoring the fifth in a series of highly successful and informative meetings on "Advances in Polyolefins 2007" in Santa Rosa, CA, from September 23-26, 2007. This meeting will bring together leading scientists from the U.S. and abroad for a serious exchange of ideas concerning the specialized area of polyolefins. The international program will feature 30-45 minute talks addressing many aspects of the polyolefins area, including homo- and copolymers of polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene propylene rubber, and a number of other more specialized hydrocarbon-based materials. Catalysis, characterization, processing, mechanical behavior and applications will also be featured. The program will begin on Sunday evening with an opening reception and an Invited overview lecture, followed by 3 1/2 days of invited lectures. The conference will also feature an extensive poster session that will permit even more individuals to present their latest research and stimulate further interactions between the academic, government, and industrial participants.
