POLYCONDENSATION '98

September 27 - 30, 1998
Annapolis, Maryland

General Information

Scope: The ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry will sponsor an international symposium on "Polycondensation '98," in cooperation with IUPAC and the European Polymer Federation. The symposium is organized by James E. McGrath and Frank W. Harris.

Polycondensation '98 will address all aspects of step polymerization including reaction kinetics/mechanisms/synthesis/degradation of materials such as polyesters, polyamides, poly(arylene ethers), polyurethanes, polyimides, epoxies, phenolics, etc. While synthesis will be emphasized, discussion of related chemical structure-physical behavior-real/potential applications is encouraged. Further information regarding the organizational aspects of the meeting and program can be obtained from the chairs.

Poster Session: A poster session will be an integral part of the meeting and contributions are solicited. This will give attendees the opportunity to present their own work. Anyone wishing to present a poster should contact Martin E. Rogers, Poster Session Organizer. A short poster abstract should be submitted to Dr. Rogers by September 1, 1998.
