Co-Sponsored by the Division of Fluorine Chemistry
Although fluoropolymers are nearly 60 years old, they maintain a growth rate above the US GNP. In addition to perfluoropolymers, partially fluorinated polymers will continue to impact a wide range of technologies as better control of their unique optical, electronic, processing, extreme environment stability, and surface properties are achieved. This workshop will cover topics including synthesis, processing, properties, and applications of new as well as traditional fluoropolymers with special emphasis on "break-through" technologies and future commercial trends.
