Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn for POLY

The ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry is now (as of 2011) on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.   

The POLY Division hopes to broaden awareness and increase/retain membership in the division by providing alternate avenues (i.e. social networking sites) for members to stay abreast on news and events in the POLY community.  Many of you already use these sites for personal and perhaps professional networking, so this is a natural extension for many of you.  Below, are provided the necessary information to connect with each of the POLY social networking sites.  Derek Patton (Derek.Patton@USM.EDU) is serving as the administrator for the Facebook and Twitter pages and David Germack (dsgermack@gmail.com ) is serving as the administrator for the LinkedIn page.  Please contact either of us if you have questions or suggestions.  

FACEBOOK:

Facebook users can find the POLY Facebook Page by searching for “ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry” from your personal Facebook page.  Click the “Like” button to connect with POLY and receive status, news and event updates. 

TWITTER:

For those that prefer Twitter, you can find and follow the POLY division by searching for “POLY_ACS” from your personal Twitter page. 

The POLY Facebook Page and the POLY Twitter Page have been linked together, so users of either social networking site will receive the same updates and information. 

LINKEDIN:

LinkedIn users can join the POLY community by clicking on “Groups” and searching for “Division of Polymer Chemistry”.  Your group membership request will be approved in a timely manner.  We already have over 520 members in the LinkedIn group.  Please help us grow this number.
