Program Co-Chairs

Members of the Program Committee are responsible for suggesting organizing symposia at ACS National Meetings. We seek a diversity of disciplines and especially members of the Polymer Division who will bring a fresh perspective to programming. If you are interested, please contact one of the current Chairmen for more information.

Preprint/Abstract Info.

Both a standard ACS abstract and Polymer Preprint are required for all papers given in regular (non-award) Polymer Division Symposia at National Meetings.

Abstract Submission

Starting with the Spring 2010 meeting in San Francisco, the OASYS system for Abstract submission for National ACS meetings has been replaced with  PACS (ACS Program and Abstract Creation System ).

Abstracts should be submitted through PACS, available at the ACS meetings page . Abstract submitters will be recognized through their ACS ID and password, which will provide easier tracking of individual submissions for the user.  Abstracts will be maintained under the ACS user ID information.  Preprint submission is still required, and preprints will be linked to the abstracts through the ACS user ID information.

PACS User Guide for Abstract Submitters: word doc.

Preprint Submission

An abstract must be submitted prior to submitting a preprint (see above).

The Division of Polymer Chemistry, Inc., in cooperation with the ACS Membership and Publications Divisions, now offers online preprint submission through PACS

An electronic preprint should be prepared as a word processing document using the POLY2000 Preprint Template available at the Polymer Preprints page. The word processing document file should not be submitted by e-mail or on diskette; it must be submitted through PACS, at which time it will be automatically converted into PDF format and made viewable by the authors. Until the preprint submission close date, the authors may re-transmit as many revised drafts as necessary until the PDF document conforms to the required preprint format. After preprint submission close date, the PDF file will be reviewed online by the Symposium organizer. Upon approval by the organizer, the preprint file will be forwarded to the preprint editors for final acceptance.
