General Papers

Dr. Dana Garcia, Arkema Inc., 900 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406, USA ; Phone: (610) 878-6731, Fax: (610) 878-6196 dana.garcia@arkemagroup.com

Preprint/Abstract Info.

Both a standard ACS abstract and Polymer Preprint are required for all papers given in regular (non-award) Polymer Division Symposia at National Meetings.

Abstract Submission

Starting with the Spring 2010 meeting in San Francisco, the OASYS system for Abstract submission for National ACS meetings has been replaced with  PACS (ACS Program and Abstract Creation System ).

Abstracts should be submitted through PACS, available at the ACS meetings page . Upon abstract submission, a record number will be assigned, which must be used to submit a preprint (this ensures that abstract and preprint are linked).

PACS User Guide for Abstract Submitters: word doc.

Preprint Submission

An abstract must be submitted prior to submitting a preprint (see above).

The Division of Polymer Chemistry, Inc., in cooperation with the ACS Membership and Publications Divisions, now offers online preprint submission through PACS

An electronic preprint should be prepared as a word processing document using the POLY2000 Preprint Template available at the Polymer Preprints page. The word processing document file should not be submitted by e-mail or on diskette; it must be submitted through OASys, at which time it will be automatically converted into PDF format and made viewable by the authors. Until the preprint submission close date, the authors may re-transmit as many revised drafts as necessary until the PDF document conforms to the required preprint format. After preprint submission close date, the PDF file will be reviewed online by the Symposium organizer. Upon approval by the organizer, the preprint file will be forwarded to the preprint editors for final acceptance.
