Purpose:
Strategic amplification of the ACS Polymer Division’s (POLY’s) industrial voice in programming, education and award recognition
Function:
Programming
- provide strategic recommendations to the ACS Polymer Division on future programming topics
Education
- structure future educational initiatives relative to industrial hiring/continuing education needs - lead the polymer community with K-12 educational programs (IPEC) that the Board funds
- participate in PolyEd
Awards
- provide direction for future and current industrial awards.
- foster graduate student involvement (through travel and presentation awards) ....see previous winners...
- support undergraduate symposia at national meetings (undergraduate presentation awards) - reward outstanding industrial polymer scientists (Industrial Polymer Scientist Award)
