AWARDS

Dear POLY Members,

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Andrew Lovinger in his election to the
National Academy of Engineering.  Andy was one of 76 people that were elected in
this round of new members.

As many of you may know, in addition to being a long-time POLY Division member,
Andy is the director of the Polymers Program in the Division of Materials Research
of the National Science Foundation.  Andy was recognized by the Academy for
correlating the processing, structure, and properties of important polymeric
materials, particularly electronic polymers.

More details about the election announcement can be found on the National
Academies website:

Again, congratulations Andy!

Best regards,

Ken Carter
