The Division of Polymer Chemistry was honored with TWO Chemluminary Awards from the ACS Tuesday night at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel!

The first award was a ChemPower Award from Membership Affairs for POLY's membership committee activities - recognizing our Division for its efforts in recruitment, retention and recognition of members -- esp. the graduate student initiatives surrounding the new POLY graduate travel awards and networking opportunities for students.

The second award was a Divisional recognition award for POLY's service to its members - esp. the newly instituted Herman Mark Scholars Awards for scientists in various stages of their careers for excellence in basic and applied research in polymer science.

Past Chair Ken Wynne, Chair Ken Carter, Member-at-Large Erica Martin and Councilor HN Cheng were present to accept the awards on behalf of POLY.

CONGRATULATIONS POLY!!!!
