Congratulations to POLY members receiving the Distinguished Service Award [Kathryn Beers (Polymers Division NIST) for service as Division Secretary, Dana Garcia (Arkema, Inc.) for POLY General Sessions , John Pochan (Cornell University) for outstanding Contributions as POLY Councilor] and the Special Service Award [Ann Salamone (Rochal Industries) for outstanding Service as Industrial Advisory Board, Neta Byerly (Virginia Tech) 30 Years of Service at Virginia Tech and Outstanding Service as POLY Business Office Manager].  The awards were presented at the Denver ACS meeting. Poly Members make strong showing in the 2011 Class of ACS Fellows, honored at the Fall 2011 ACS National meeting in Denver. (11/11)

 

The winner of the 2012 PAUL J. FLORY Polymer Education Award is Bob Cohen.  An award symposium will be held during the Spring ACS National Meeting in San Diego and the awardee will be recognized during the POLY/PMSE awards reception on Wednesday afternoon. (11/11)
